Company History
Cecil Rogers purchased the microfilming division from Hawkins Letter Service in 1974. The company was named CR Microfilm Center. Incorporation
followed a few years later in 1978. Micrographic services including microfilming, processing, duplication and Copyflo printing were
performed. Membership in the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce was added in 1981 and is still in effect today. Larry J. Stover, P.E. joined the company in 1984 and set up the company's accounting files on an IBM pc. Back then a
10MB hard disk was new technology. Larry also gained experience in running the service bureau and in sales. We built a new building
in 1986 to house our operations and continue to operate today at this location.
Larry became President in 1990. Lois and Larry purchased the business in 1994. Lois is the daughter of Cecil. Electronic document scanning services for
customers was introduced in 1996 by aligning with DocuWare. In 1998 we became a full Authorized DocuWare Partner to add software
sales to our offerings. Large format scanning (engineering drawings) and film
based scanning were also added to our service bureau services.
Today we continue to offer micrographic services, document scanning services, DocuWare REQUEST services and DocuWare
software sales. We also use DocuWare Software in our daily business and have reduced our carbon
footprint by reducing our paper consumption. Eliminating filing cabinets has also been accomplished.
Since 2008 we started operating under a d/b/a Stover Imaging to more accurately reflect our business.
Looking Forward
Technology is constantly changing at a rapid pace. We are fortunate to have selected DocuWare as our partner in the 90's.
We will continue to leverage their expertise to give our customers cutting edge technology in the electronic document management
industry. DocuWare's Web Solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS) for document management offer much promise in the decade ahead.
They are well positioned to take advantage of the Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud infrastructures that will touch all businesses in the future.
Additional scanning capabilities and capacity in 2011 helped us complete a 1.4 million page document scanning job for a client in under 5 months. We are positioned well to provide more large project scanning jobs.
